French Restaurant
Le Chardon, so-called because of the original Victorian thistle tiles, is pleased to keep the history of the former David Greig site alive, with many of its original authentic features.

Robert Benyayer, owner of Le Chardon, first came to London in 1984 from Cannes in the South of France. Shops and restaurants have always run in his family and with years of chef experience in Cannes and catering experience in the French army, Robert came to London to work at the Claridges Hotel.

After travelling the world and spending over 10 years working in many other establishments including the renowned London Champagne Exchange and La Bouche, Robert opened his own place. Le Chardon opened in 1997 and has since enjoyed its reputation for authentic French food, style and taste.
