La Buvette

French Restaurant
Built in the 1930’s as an annexe for St.Mary of Magdelene Church and located in the heart of Richmond Town Centre, it was originally used as a canteen for the Parish.

In the 1950’s it became a bridge club before the Steel family specialising in traditional English fare traded as the reputed “Refectory” for over 28 years.

Bruce and Lawrence acquired the premises in September 2004. Now established as the most fashionable and charming eaterie in Richmond the restaurant has welcomed theatre, film and sports stars, politicians, and artists whilst continuing to maintain its popularity with neighbours and friends.

’It oozes certainty and confidence, it knows what works and has a firm grasp of what we want’
- Chris Blackhurst, The Evening Standard
