Perched on Basil Street in the heart of London’s stylish Knightsbridge, The Capital Restaurant is deemed one of UK’s top city restaurants. With a superlative lunch and an impressive wine selection, it is easy to see why The Capital Restaurant has continued to attract the world’s gourmets for over 30 years.
Speciality dishes include Colchester native oysters, roast fillet of lamb, baked Dover sole and warm Guanaja lava cake, served with pistachio ice cream and green apple. Executive Chef Jerome Ponchelle showcases a classic British style of cooking, sweeping away any ideas of pretention and replacing them with robust, highly accomplished flavours.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, lunches are served from the elegant silver trolley with a variety of different dishes on offer which change seasonally. Amongst the splendid wines selected for The Capital Restaurant’s wine list is a selection of 4 specialist wines from “The Levin Winery”, The Capital’s own vineyard in the Loire Valley. |
